Your gift defends two Christian counselors the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, is threatening with jail, and protects the free speech and conscience rights of every counselor in America.

Thomas Dierks, a Catholic counselor with more than 27 years of experience, and a second Christian counselor help young people through life's hardest questions with talk therapy alone, always toward goals their clients set for themselves. When a child struggling with discomfort over his or her biological sex asks for help living in harmony with his or her body and faith, they want to be free to give it.

Lincoln's ordinance forbids that help. A counselor may guide a child toward gender transition, but one who helps a child accept his or her God-given body faces up to six months in jail, fines, and possible loss of his license. The ordinance leaves a struggling child only one government-approved answer.

In March, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 8–1 in Chiles v. Salazar against a nearly identical Colorado law. Thomas More Society put Lincoln on notice and gave the City every chance to repeal its ban. Lincoln refused, so we have filed a federal lawsuit to defend these counselors.

A victory will send a clear message to every city and state still trying to censor compassionate counseling, but we can't win this fight without you.

Will you give today to defend these counselors and free speech nationwide?
